Who We Are

Richmarc Productions is a live-action, production company based in Indianapolis, IN, providing prep-to-finish services for commercials, corporate communications, network documentaries and web programming.  We utilize the highest quality, most efficient and cost effective production tools available.

Richmarc was established more than 25 years ago as a 35mm film production house.  In 1999, we were among the first in the country to make the radical transition to high-end High Definition production.  Our values remain grounded in 35mm, but today, it's all digital and you'll find us using only the latest in Electronic Cinema technology and techniques.

We’re creative, flexible production people who thrive on the collaborative process and work hard to deliver beyond expectations with every project.  We have a passion for excellence and an unwavering commitment to delivering a first class production, on time and on budget.

We take a fresh approach to every assignment.  No cookie-cutter workflows.  Whether it's complex VFX projects or shooting from the hip in a gritty documentary, the Richmarc team gives each project a fresh, energetic look.  

Our state-of -the-art post-production suite is equipped with Avid's latest Nitris DX HD system with all the bells and whistles, including a Cine-Tal evaluation grade monitor for color grading.
Our edit suite is available for clients who want to bundle production and post-production budgets.  Additionally, Rick will be working in there doing shooting layouts ahead of production, doing a director's cut or full creative cutting, upon our clients' request.

We work with a diverse range of clients, including advertising agencies, governmental agencies, Fortune 500 companies, political campaigns, nonprofits and even national TV networks. They all continue to call upon Richmarc's experience and expertise.  The Richmarc name is regarded as one of the best-equipped, most experienced EC/HD production facilities in the Midwest, and we plan to keep it that way.

* Sony F-65
Arriving February 2012.
This will be the camera that moves electronic cinema into a brand new era and is the first TRUE 4K camera the industry has seen.  All-new from the ground up, the F65 is going to be the gold standard for EC production.

* New ARRIFLEX Alura Lenses
These are variable-prime lenses of the highest quality with superb resolution, edge sharpness, rich color reproduction
and technical functionality exceeding that of traditional film lenses.

* Sony F3 camera 
The baby brother of the gold-standard camera in Hollywood, the F35, but without the high price tag.

* Sony Cine Alta F800 camera system
The F800 is recognized by top professionals as the most versatile of all the high-end cameras working comfortably in-studio on a dolly or on-location on Rick's shoulder.  The F800 comes with the Fujinon Film style Vari-Prime EC production lens, and two of the leading Fujinon lenses for documentary-style "run & gun" work.

The latest in monitor technology and we have two of them in 17 & 26 inch models for on-set critical assessment of picture and color quality.

Electronic Cinematography Experience

Experience in EC/HD matters – a lot.

Electronic Cinematography is a complex technology that must be learned before it can become an artistic tool.  Being one of the first to break into the field, Richmarc has over 12 years of experience including extensive training, testing and hundreds of days of EC shooting and post production.  We know EC/HD inside and out. That experience has equipped us with solutions for any production challenge.

In late 2011, we built a testing stage at our office, allowing Rick the opportunity to test for specific looks or treatments that clients may be considering for a particular project.  Owning the cameras means we have solutions for clients BEFORE we show up for the shoot, and at NO extra cost to our clients.
